Fouth of July Fireworks

Tonight after a nice day with my mother in law, around 6:00pm I got really frustrated after talking to some in laws who she distrusts My mother in law started screaming at me that I was a liar over and over again. A six o’clock work shift turned into a 12:00 one for my husband yesterday. I was really mad and went to sleep without cooking dinner.

I heard a bang on the door around 11:45pm.”This is the police”. Is this the home of ________? ….
“Yeah she is here … I was asleep”
Actually she had walked out the back door and tripped on a rock fractured her wrist and cut her face. She said she was going to get cigarettes even though she has no credit cards and we took her ID. It is now 5:34 am and I am just finishing the ordeal. Thank God for ID bracelets. They found her sitting down outside close by and took her to the ER. My husband got home when I was headed out the door and we went to Alta Bates Medical Center just got back.
Her day care is also closing its doors.

PLEASE -fight to save the funding for Guardian Health Care and The Family Caregiver Alliance in the East bay, California as well as IHSS which the Governer’s office claims is being shut down and ‘restructured’ because of ‘fraud’.

In the case of IHSS, we were promised six free therapy sessions and then when we called back to schedule the sessions the government had already cut funding.

There is a desperate crisis in funding for seniors care facilities and resources. During a time when the baby boomers are all desperately in need of this care this is a tragedy and is leaving so many of us with long hold times, busy signals, constant bad news and no options.
